Just a hop, skip and a jump away from King’s Cross, the the Grim’s Dyke Veterans headed off down the A1 to visit the Highgate Past Masters for match 22 of the 2023 season.
We met in the Felmingham Cup for the very first time just six or so years ago, striking up an instant rapport it was agreed that the fixture should become permanent. This year not only were we visiting good friends, Highgate are the current Felmingham Cup holders - so a touch off added interest.
Captain David Pascall and his team as ever were the perfect hosts before, during and after the tightest of matches - but after a blinding lunch of salmon en-croute the result was announced - another away win for Grim’s Dyke.
