Have you played football, hockey, tennis, cricket or an other sport in the past? Would you like to still reap the benefits from continuing to play sport? Golf can keep you fit and healthy while enjoying the social benefits of friendship, camaraderie, teamwork and participation in a fun and inclusive activity.

Irrespective of age, gender or ability, everyone’s quality of life can be improved through participation in golf. It is a highly enjoyable leisure activity that brings fun, challenge and competition, as well as opportunities for social interaction while participating in physical, leisure time activities.

Many of our club members have sparkled at other sports when they were younger. Sudhir was a top cricketer; Keith excelled on the football pitch; Paul was a tennis ace and Mel's passion was rugby, while our Club Captain Gill was a talented hockey player.

So when that time arrives - as it inevitably does - and the legs can’t run quite as fast as they used to, why not consider golf to continue the “sports club experience”.

At GDGC we are delighted to announce the opening of a friendly Academy that provides tuition and equipment to discover the wonderful world of golf. Delivered by PGA Golf Professionals, the program offers group coaching and access to the practice facilities as well as a pathway to membership

Tuition at Grim's Dyke is available on an individual basis, although groups of 4 to 6 from local sports clubs are actively encouraged -

There are a variety of options to get into golf with the GDGC Academy and tuition can be as little as £10 per hour.
