Unlike the cold and grey weather, buoyed by a string of early season victories our radiant Vets team bounced into Stanmore anticipating a hot derby day fixture.
After 4 matches the score stood at 2-2. Match 5 was all square but sealed with a superb Grim’s Dyke chip to within a inch of the 18th pin. Match 6 closed out to give the final victory to Grim’sDyke 4-2.
Our thanks to all at Stanmore for your warm hospitality, superb lunch and good old custard creams with the pre-match coffee; seen here being enjoyed by those who should have been loosening up in the nets.
