Grim’s Dykes Head Professional is Julian Harding.
Julian started his golf career at West Herts Golf Club at the tender age of 11. He played county golf and was the under 18 County Captain. At 25 he became a PGA professional and moved to Welwyn Garden City Golf Club as Assistant Pro.
After working as Assistant Pro for 9 years and Head Pro for 8 years at Potters Bar Golf Club, Julian eventually arrived at Grim’s Dyke. He has been a PGA professional at the club for six years and has become a popular teacher. He is now ready to put his stamp on the Pro Shop and the service it provides to members and visitors.
In April 2021 we welcomed our new assistant PGA Professional, Colin Parker.
Colin joined Grim’s Dyke as Junior at age of 15 quickly got to become a low single figure handicap golfer. He played as Captain in our successful junior golf team and won many board competitions. Colin started working in the Pro Shop and held many other roles at club, as well as working for the Complete Golfer in Northwood, and also competing in county amateur events.
Colin left to study at University. Whilst there he was a 1st team member of University Golf Team and worked at local driving range. After university he continued playing amateur events and worked as a Golf Odds Compiler and Live Golf Betting Trader for Ladbrokes.
Colin then decided to turn Professional and became Assistant Professional at Northwood Golf Club, gaining Level 1 and 2 Coaching qualifications. Coaching all ages and abilities alongside competing in pro-ams and custom fitting members for new equipment.
We are delighted that Colin has decided to return to his roots at Grims' Dyke.
